SONS OF ERIN ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE & FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND Families to enjoy 100 parade entries, live entertainment, carnival games & rides March 9, 2010 WHAT: The City of Henderson will host the 44th Annual Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival. The family-friendly event will include a parade, carnival with games and rides, live entertainment, car show and more. Admission is free. Some activities may require paid admission. The parade will be held Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. Over 100 parade entries including festive floats, Celtic dancers, bagpipers and marching bands will travel the mile-long route on Water Street, beginning at Ocean Avenue and ending at Victory Road. The theme is “Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow.” A portion of the proceeds from this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will benefit the St. Rose Foundation, a non-profit organization that contributes to the development of additional services and new technology at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals to provide for the changing health care needs of our communities.
