Cancer Survivor, Nurse and Author Gives
‘Border to Border: An Inspirational Running Journey’ Talk at 10 a.m.
LAS VEGAS – Aug. 28, 2013 – Helene Neville, a 53-year-old four-time cancer survivor, nurse, author and transcontinental runner will be a guest speaker at World of Girls presented by Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada at Cashman Center on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at 10 a.m. The event is open to the public and free.
Neville’s topic is “Border to Border: An Inspirational Running Journey. Neville has dedicated her life to inspiring and motivating people across the country. In 2010, she ran from California to Florida and in 2013 from Vancouver to Mexico. From these journeys, she has organized the 2013 National Nurses Health Institute Speaker Series taking place at the Red Rock Resort Oct. 11 and 12, followed by the National Nurses Half Marathon at Red Rock Canyon and 5K on Sunday, Oct. 13.
